My weekend at this hotel was fantastic. the rooms were very spacious and comfortable with great views from the higher floors. the location is perfect, with easy walking distance to many shops and restaurants. One of the best things about this hotel was the breakfast, with fresh omelets cooked to order every morning.
The WiFi connection was not very strong and the options for dinner were limited within the hotel. the building is quite old and could use some updates.

It was fine, cozy rooms, spacious and clean.
I's not really a 5 stars hotel I did not felt the luxury and opulence specific to these locations.

Great city views from our room! The hotel is located within 2 miles of the bund, so the location is really convenient. If you're staying in the Luwan district, you won't regret staying around there. 🌆

It was a very impressive hotel and I felt very comfortable. I'll definitely return.
The light above the wash basin wasn't bright enough when looking into the mirror. It needs to be much stronger so that the person can see their face clearly when putting make up on or for a guy who shaves.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the waterfront, offering stunning views of the river and easy access to the Bund. the rooms are clean and well-equipped, providing a comfortable stay. the staff is friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant experience. the breakfast, although with limited options for non-Chinese breakfast, includes occasional delightful surprises. the hotel offers facilities like a fitness center and a money exchanger in the lobby.
The hotel does not have a bar or restaurant, limiting options for dining within the premises.

Location should be good in general, but right now there's a big construction right under the windows and the noise is terrible every day from 8.00. Staff is professional, speaks good english, but behaves a bit arrogant.

Clean rooms
We arrived late, but we send message with information that our plane will be late. The stuff man was very very angry and spoke with us very very bad. They charged our money 2 times, because they could not understand that we have done prepayment already. We have to wait for 3 hours , we showed payment detals and called to europe to bank manager wich approved our payment, and still have to pay second time for the room. The room reservation was done 1 month before arrival and nobody has checked if everythig is okey. If you are not stupid never take this hotel. Stuff is not speaking english. Luggage guy was not satisfied that he has't recieved 20 $ reward for taking luggage. Sound isolation is bad. And it is not 5 star hotel as claimed. Bad situation with food.

Spent Christmas at a hotel located just walking distance to the bustling central area with loads of shops and restaurants around. The staff was friendly and welcoming, providing excellent room service cleaning, trying their best to make our stay comfortable. The rooms were spacious and offered a great view of the city from the large windows. the hotel featured excellent amenities such as a gym and spa facilities.
Although the rooms were well furnished, the WiFi connection was slow and unreliable. the food from the hotel restaurant seemed overpriced compared to the nearby options, and the variety of menu items was limited.

Once checking in to the hotel, everything is above my expectation, it's a wonderful hotel.
Having question related to the reservation, call the hotel, the staff refuse to help, keep referring back to Booked.net, it's pretty frustrating.

Beautiful views of the Bund and the Huangpu Riverview Friendly staff, nice comfortable rooms, central location Riverview hotel may not be 5 star hotel, but if I came back to Shanghai again, I'll stay in this hotel. Everything from the moment of arrival at the hotel functioned as it should be. The hotel staff speaks English and they gave me the room I was looking at booking time. The room was on floor 19, with a beautiful view of the River and the bund, especially in the evening when the lights began dancing at the bund, construction work on the structure are quite low and did not disturb me at all.
The only drawback is that the nearest metro station you have to walk 15- 20 min to laoximen illi yuyuan garden ( line 10)

It's location to the old town shopping area. Also the Bund was only a 30 minute walk along the riverside.
No bar

The staff were good. Decent grasp of English
The noise.... Easily the noisiest hotel that I have ever stayed in. The hotel should make the most of it's name because soon it will be the towerview hotel. There are huge building sites on both sides of the hotel and being China, work goes on until 11pm and starts again at 7am. Not very relaxing. And the bed. I like a firm mattress, but this was hard. Cave floor type hard. At one point I got out of bed and lay on the carpetted floor. Only marginally less comfortable than the bed. Check in was also very slow.

Location within walking distance to the Bund.
The concierge staff could do better with basic English skills and knowledge on tourist attractions. They cannot be of much help if you don't speak Mandarin it seems.

Gorgeous river views, overall nice hotel. A piece of the "old" Shanghai nearby, a gorgeous market and some pretty gardens and parks one can visit. It is close to Hotel Indigo which sports a gorgeous bar on the top floor with great cocktails and most awesome views of the nightly lit Shanghai. Staff will be able to provide with maps and / or information about how to best get around.
Now, the location is not ideal. It is relatively far from the central attractions and relatively far from any subway station. There is a massive construction site nearby which means that the actual "riverviews" will be blocked off soon as another massive hotel/building complex is being build right in front of it. The beds are very very hard. The hardest I ever have slept on so be prepared. Just a few details, not directly related to hotel: I took a taxi from the airport to get there. I was told it should be around 170 Y, ended up paying 300. >>> I highly recommend to every visitor to print out the hotel name in Chinese characters. No TAXI driver will be able to read Latin characters.<<<
